Individuals of all ages experience food and beverages from specialty food stores and local restaurants during a small group walking tour of a town. These professionally guided experiences provide an insider’s view of the culture, history, architecture, and of course the flavors of a destination.

Yes! Due to the fact that our restaurants prepare specialized portions of food for our tour guests, all tickets must be purchased in advance using our online booking service. The deadline to purchase tickets is 8:00 am on the day of the tour. Tickets may be purchased with MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover. We do not accept cash or checks for our tours.

Yes. Though, we are only able to offer vegetarian and gluten free alternatives at this time. Since we need to notify the restaurants on the tour prior to our arrival, please let us know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you purchase your ticket. Without this advance notice, our restaurant partners may not be able to accommodate these requests.

Bathrooms are available at some our tasting locations. However, we do not have scheduled bathroom breaks for the entire group.

Due to the limited time that we have at each tasting location, we kindly request that you return to shop after your tour experience has concluded. The tour will start and finish very close to many of the shops in town. Plan ahead to have time for shopping before and/or after the tour.

Yes. All guests must purchase a ticket whether or not they plan to partake in the food tastings. Non-paying individuals are not permitted to join the experience for any reason(s). The ticket fees cover the cost of the food samples, tour guide wages, and the full tour experience.

Oil Region locals can learn the story behind the food that they enjoy as well as gain a greater appreciation for the community in which they live. We also work with our restaurant partners to offer unique experiences not available to the public.

Almost. The tour ends just a little over a block from where it begins. The beginning and ending points are approximately a 5 minute walk apart.

No. The tour is conducted by walking between tasting locations. We provide the tour, your feet provide the transportation.

Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although never required. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 20%.

Tours are held rain, snow, or shine. Keep in mind that food tastings are held inside each food establishment, but the rest of the tour is conducted outside. Please make sure to check the weather conditions for your tour day and dress accordingly.

Our tours serve enough food so that lunch afterwards is not typically necessary. With food and drink paired with historical knowledge throughout our walk around town, guests are comfortably full following our tours. Our food tours are not intended to replace several meals, so please consider eating breakfast before the tour and revisiting one of our partner restaurants for dinner several hours after the tour.

Absolutely! Children are welcome. Please note that there is a lot of standing, walking, and listening on the tour. Children may have a limited attention spans so assess the situation accordingly. There is only one ticket price for all tour participants as the food tastings are the same regardless of age.

If you are bringing an infant (under 2 years old) and they are not participating in the food tasting, then you do not need to purchase a ticket for them. Again, please remember that there is a lot of standing, walking, and listening on each tour. We need to know in advance if you will be attending with an infant so please make sure to include this information in the Notes section when you purchase your tickets.

The duration of our tour is 3 hours and you can expect to be standing, sitting, and walking during this timeframe. This tour encompasses approximately a mile and half of total walking.

Yes. There is street parking available in Franklin and there are 2 large parking lots on Elk Street. The parking meters in town accept coins and the 1271 Elk Street parking lot accepts credit cards via an onsite terminal or through the Way to Park app.

Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Water will be provided at a few of the stops but we recommend bringing water to consume during the walk – especially on warm days.

Each tasting location features food and/or drink samples that are included in the price. If you desire anything beyond the tasting menu, you may purchase it directly from the establishment.

We love pets, but we are unable to have them on the tour due to local health laws.

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged or rescheduled as they guarantee your spot on the tour. Please note that we cannot provide partial refunds for no shows, late arrivals, or partial attendance which results in missed tastings. Every tour departs promptly at the time indicated on the ticket.
